Molokini Crater You’ll head to Molokini, and experience it without the larger boats, tourists and charters that normally fill the beautiful crater.

Turtlely Cool!… Departing Molokini, we’ll make one more stop and snorkel with sea turtles in a shorline destination (locations will vary, depending on conditions). These turtles, although endangered and protected, are accustomed to seeing snorkelers and do not mind being photographed as they surface for air just a few feet away.

  • If you are pregnant, you will not be able to go on the Raft.
  • If you get motion sickness, we suggest bringing Ginger chews and Gingerale.
  • No alcohol allowed on the boat.
  • If you would like a wetsuit, please bring your own. The majority of our passengers snorkel in their swimming suites.

Molokini Crater & Turtle Town Snorkel Adventure

Escape the crowds and experience Maui’s most iconic snorkel sites on a small-group Molokini Crater & Turtle Town adventure departing from the Kihei Boat Ramp, the closest launch point to Wailea. With free parking available and an early morning departure, this tour offers calm ocean conditions, excellent visibility, and a more relaxed snorkeling experience.

Travel aboard a low-to-water adventure raft, designed for speed, comfort, and intimate ocean encounters. Unlike large commercial snorkel boats, our smaller vessel allows access to less crowded areas and provides a more personal connection to Maui’s underwater world.

Your first stop is Molokini Crater, a world-renowned volcanic caldera famous for crystal-clear water and vibrant reef life. Snorkel alongside tropical fish in a protected marine environment known for outstanding visibility and calm conditions in the early morning hours.

After Molokini, continue to Turtle Town, a scenic coastal snorkel site where Hawaiian green sea turtles are frequently seen resting and swimming near shore. These protected animals are accustomed to snorkelers and often surface nearby, creating unforgettable moments and photo opportunities.

Throughout the tour, trained local guides provide in-water assistance, safety supervision, and fun, educational commentary about Maui’s marine life, Hawaiian culture, and island history. Snorkel gear is included, so there’s no need to bring your own equipment.

Guests enjoy refreshing Hawaiian juices and bottled water, along with a satisfying onboard lunch featuring individually wrapped ham & Swiss or turkey & provolone croissants. Vegan and gluten-free options are available upon request, along with fresh chopped fruit and a nut-free chocolate chip cookie.

During whale season (December–April), humpback whale sightings are common during transit. A hydrophone onboard allows guests to listen to live whale songs beneath the surface, adding a magical element to the journey.

Dry storage is provided for small personal items. Guests should bring reef-safe sunscreen, a towel, sunglasses, a hat, and swimwear.
