Guests will be greeted directly by the owner, who will briefly explain the exploratory route.
The tour begins with a visit to the Palace, where traces of medieval construction in stone and wood are evident, and an introduction to the life of Prof. Cosmo de Horatiis, the father and popularizer of Italian homeopathy, a surgeon and personal physician to Francis I of Bourbon, King of the Two Sicilies from 1825 to 1830.
This is the only place where you can view the entire bibliographic collection of the illustrious scientist.
We will then be introduced to the invaluable library containing documents and ancient books dating from the 16th century to the mid-20th century.
The texts cover numerous and diverse fields, from medicine to law, religion, history, literature, poetry, and science.
The route will be enhanced by the descent, via a comfortable and wide internal stone staircase, to the Ancient Underground Olive Press, a work of industrial archaeology contemporary with the Palace.
Here, you can see how oil was produced, the powerful stone millstone driven by a donkey, the gigantic press with a wooden worm screw, the animal's manger, and all the rooms and gear needed, with numerous details.
Finally, you'll have the opportunity to purchase typical handcrafted products.
The visit lasts about two hours
