What you can expect

Lookimg for a very unique experiences of combination of yraditional and urban Japanese life?
Then, this tour woukd be the best for you.

Misaki is the southern-most port town of the Miura peninsula, Kanagawa prefecture; about an hour and a half train ride from central Tokyo.

It is famous as a landing point for deep-sea tuna ships. Upon their return, each ship holds up on the mast their own Big Catch flag. It also tells fishermen’s family on their husband / father / brothers / boyfriend’s safe retirn.

The biggest highlight of this tour is that you can dye your own big-catch flag of the design and colors of your preference. Once it is finalized by the master of the shop, it will be sent to your home abroad later.

Moreover, we make an incense sachet by mixing fragrant woods snd herb chips based on traditionsl recipes.

We can enjoy not only fresh tuna sashimi or sushi, but also cutlet, stir fries, BBQ of seafood.

By walking in the historic Misaki downtown, we visit Kainan Shrine, Showa Chakkirako House showing traditional Japanese lifestyle, as well as unique buildings called kamban (signage) architecture and warehouse-style houses that have been protecting the town of Misaki from strong winds and past fire outbreaks.

The downtown also has unique coffee shop of renovated warehouse, and a cozy muffin shop with decors of 1970s.

We will also toast and sip on award-winning aromatic local craft beer.

In the end, we will take a local bus from Misaki to Miura beach, enjoying the views of agricultural fields of Miura.

This tour is full of one-and-only experience of traditional and urban Japan.

Misaki is a marvelous hide-away destination to enjoy nature, tradition, gourmet, and aromatic craft beer, leaving behind busy, crowded, and stressful urban life.

Looking forward to welcoming you to Misaki!
