Begin your adventure with a visit to the Mira de Aire Caves, one of Portugal’s Seven Natural Wonders. Descend 100 meters (330 ft) underground along a safe path of over 680 steps, where you’ll marvel at rare and impressive rock formations illuminated by LED lighting and hear the gentle flow of water. At the end, a lift will bring you back to the surface.

Next, stop near the medieval castle of Porto de Mós, a tiny yet important defensive castle that was converted into a Renaissance-style palace. Take photos of the beautiful blend of medieval, Gothic, and Renaissance styles, or go inside the palace for an even more historic experience of Portuguese history.

Finally, end the day at the magical Buddha Eden, which features beautiful gardens and one of the largest Buddha statues in Europe.
