What you can expect

  • Discover the full beauty of Milford Sound on a scenic cruise through the Eighth Wonder of the World. Step aboard one of our spacious vessels and explore the length of the fiord, taking in sheer cliffs, lush rainforest and powerful waterfalls as they cascade from high above. With generous indoor lounges and open viewing decks, there is plenty of room to enjoy uninterrupted views of this world famous landscape.

    As you travel through the fiord, keep an eye out for Milford Sound’s wildlife including New Zealand fur seals resting on rocky outcrops, pods of dolphins and, in certain seasons, the rare tawaki Fiordland crested penguin. Throughout the cruise, your onboard guide shares stories of the region’s geology, history and natural environment, and will point out wildlife sightings as they happen.

    Choose the travel option that suits you best:

    • Self drive: Make your own way to Milford Sound and meet the cruise at the terminal.
    • Coach from Queenstown: Sit back in a glass roofed coach and enjoy scenic stops, photo opportunities, and expert commentary along the famous Milford Road.
    • Coach from Te Anau: A shorter travel day with the same stunning landscapes and well timed scenic stops.

    Please check in 30 minutes before departure. Check in closes 15 minutes prior, and gates close five minutes before departure.
