Ever wondered what the inside of a volcano looks like? This is your chance to find out on a unique adventure that combines hiking, natural history, and exploration. I will take you to discover a little-known gem: the volcanic caves of Xitle, an ancient, now-extinct volcano that conceals underground passages, solidified lava formations, and spectacular natural scenery.
I have been leading trekking experiences in the area for over 6 years and know every nook and cranny of this amazing place. But the one who really knows the way is my adventure partner: my dog Bandido, who has become the true tour guide. He will welcome you with energy and affection, guiding you along the trails.
Our experience begins early in the morning, when the forest is still shrouded in mist and the mountain is silent. We will walk along tree-lined trails, listening to the birdsong and breathing in the fresh air.
Once we reach the caves, we will turn on our flashlights and enter the volcanic tunnels. You don't need any previous experience or special gear, just a desire to explore.
