What you can expect

  • Borges, a labyrinth and the wines of San Rafael.

There is a place in San Rafael where Jorge Luis Borges's labyrinths are no longer just literature. They are made of paths, trees and routes that cross. And you can walk through them.

At dePostal, we created a special experience to get to know this place, explore the writer's work and take part in a series of activities that turn the visit into a game of imagination, questions and discoveries.

But first, the vineyards await us.

Our driver will pick you up from your accommodation in San Rafael to begin the day in a private car.

The first stop will be Bodegas Bianchi, one of the region's traditional wineries.

There, we will cycle through the vineyards and take part in a wine tasting, also learning about San Rafael's winemaking tradition.

Then we will head to Finca Los Álamos, where we will enjoy lunch.

And now, let's enter the labyrinth.

The Borges Labyrinth is a tribute to the Argentine writer and one of the symbols most present in his literature.

Accompanied by our literature teacher, we will walk its paths through an activity designed especially by dePostal.

There will be games of wit, questions, challenges and activities to discover the links between the labyrinth and Borges's stories.

Time, chance, decisions and forking paths will appear along the way.

We will have to observe, choose, think, make mistakes and try again. And also talk, share interpretations and discover how much a story can change depending on who reads it.

The day includes a participatory literary workshop.

Borges will be our starting point, but not necessarily the only protagonist.

Participants can also suggest other writers they are interested in. Our literature teacher will prepare the readings and activities with those preferences in mind, which we will coordinate before the meeting.

We can talk about stories we already know, discover others for the first time and find connections we may never have considered.

Because one of the best things about literature is what happens when we share it.

You do not have to be a specialist or have read all of Borges's work. Curiosity is an excellent starting point.

This activity was created by dePostal Travel & Co. and is operated directly by our team, accompanied by our literature teacher and our driver in a private car.

At the end, we will return to your accommodation.

If you like Borges, come and enjoy his work. If you do not know him, come and discover him.

And perhaps, after walking through the labyrinth, you will read one of his stories differently.
