Support the people of Xhoo by joining us for an immersive experience of cultural exchange, storytelling, and local cuisine. After a breath-taking scenic en-route over the Okavango Delta. Xhoo is a small rural village near Maun which borders a wildlife concession in the Okavango Delta. The community is excited to share their lifestyle with visitors and in turn learn about other cultures and ways of life in this 3-hour experience. This project is run by Mmila Mela — a registered Non- Profit Organisation — which has been working with Xhoo since 2021 to help develop community support structures and income generating activities. 25% of your payment is donated to the organisation which goes towards supporting the operational costs of their development initiatives. The community has no access to reliable sources of income and few job opportunities. Their lifestyles are predominantly subsistence based — relying mostly on livestock rearing and gathering of natural resources.
