What you can expect
Departing from the Old Harbor of Marseille, board the Samba for a half-day of relaxation at sea (morning or afternoon depending on the option) in an exceptional setting, between magnificent landscapes and an idyllic anchorage in the Bay of Marseille. Snack and soft drinks are included.
YOUR SEA OUTING* in the morning or afternoon:
Morning:
9:20 AM – Boarding at the Vieux Port (Old Port) of Marseille
Welcome at the wharf by the crew. Presentation of the maxi-catamaran, the morning ahead, and a safety briefing before casting off.
9:30 AM – Departure & guided coastal navigation
Departure from the harbor and first impressions at sea. The journey begins along the Marseille coastline, with a narrated tour revealing La Corniche Avenue, the cliffs and the iconic features of the coast, punctuated by anecdotes and maritime stories.
9:40 AM – Sail to the village of Goudes
Narrated approach to the legendary village of Les Goudes, the last bastion before the Calanques. The crew will introduce you to its history, its natural environment, and this rugged landscape, emblematic of maritime Marseille.
10:40 AM – Île Maïre & heading for the Frioul
The cruise continues around Île Maïre, a wild islet marking the entry to the Calanques National Park, before heading for the Frioul archipelago and Château d'If. Historical commentary, stories, and anecdotes accompany the discovery.
11:00 AM – Anchorage opposite the Frioul Islands
Stop at anchorage in an exceptional natural setting. Free time to make the most of the moment: relaxing on board, paddleboarding, snorkeling in the clear waters, or simply taking in the scenery. An aperitif is served on board.
11:50 AM – Return trip to Marseille
Gradual drop-off at the Vieux Port. Final panoramas of the Marseille harbor, its islands, its forts, and its landscape, with commentary from the crew.
12:30 PM – Disembarkment
Afternoon:
1:50 PM: Boarding
Meet at the Vieux Port (Old Port) of Marseille where our crew welcomes you on board the catamaran. Presentation of the vessel, the crew, the program, and a safety briefing before departure.
2:00 pm: Departure from the Vieux Port of Marseille
Leaving the Phocaean city, the catamaran sails past the famous If Castle, then heads towards the Frioul archipelago.
2:30 PM: An afternoon of sailing and anchorage
The afternoon is spent between coastal navigation and an anchorage carefully chosen by the captain, in the heart of natural landscapes in the bay of Marseille. An ideal time to relax or glide freely with the paddle boards provided. A snack is served on board to accompany this relaxing break.
6:00 PM: Disembark at the Vieux Port (Old Port)
*The sailing route and anchorage locations are subject to change based on weather conditions. During navigation as well as at anchorage, respect for the fauna and flora and compliance with the regulations in force at the sites and national parks visited remain our priority.
