Marble Mountains is a group of five limestone peaks situated seven kilometers from downtown Da Nang. The five karsts (called Ngu Hanh Son in Vietnamese) are named after the five elements: Kim (metal), Thuy (water), Moc (wood), Hoa (fire) and Tho (earth). Over centuries, Marble Mountains has held special significance for the people of Central Vietnam. The ancient Cham revered the karsts as a spiritual site, and Vietnamese emperors from Hue and legendary generals passing through paid visits to the peaks, adding to their store of legends.

You will visit the Linh Ung Pagoda which can easily be recognized from a far due to its location set on the highest point on Son Tra peninsula. From any corner of Da Nang, visitors can easily capture the sight of the Guanyin statue placed by the pagoda. She looks to the sea, with her back leaning against the mountain side. One of her hands is set in a mudra gesture and the other hand holds a small water jar.

Hai Van Pass or cloud pass is the road over the mountains that connects the coastal town of Lang Co with the modern city of Da Nang. The view along the 21-kilometer road across the pass is amazing and those who occasionally drive off the main road are rewarded with miles of deserted beach.

You also visit My Son Holy Land, which was the capital of Cham Pa Kingdom from the 4th to 5th centuries. Exemplifying the height of Cham architectural achievement, the My Son Sanctuary is a large complex of religious monuments originally consisting of more than 70 structures; the 25 vestiges of which remain today.
