What if I don’t see the manta rays, We are dealing with mother nature after all so if the manta’s aren’t spotted on your particular Manta Ray Experience then instead you’ll experience one of Fiji’s most vibrant tropical reefs via a guided snorkeling trip.
You can also return on the next Manta Ray Experience that’s available for only FJD 85 per person hoping second time around the manta’s will be a little more hospitable
The cruise for Nadi and Denarau area departs Denarau at 8.45am and returns to Denarau at 6.00pm
You must contact South Sea Cruises at least 48 hours before your activity date to confirm your reservation and arrange Transport
If you do not require pick up, please find your own way to the meeting Point - Passenger Terminal, Denarau Marina

Departing from Port Denarau, you’ll board our high-speed catamaran to the Yasawa Islands. Enjoy a scenic cruise through the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands (approximately 3 hours each way), with stops along the way to drop off and pick up guests from various island resorts before arriving at Mantaray Island Resort.

Timings: After a short briefing, you’ll board tender boats and head out to swim and snorkel with the majestic manta rays as they glide through their popular feeding grounds. Buoyancy aids are available for less confident swimmers. Enjoy a delicious lunch at Mantaray Island Resort before rejoining our vessel at 2:40pm for your return cruise to Port Denarau.

Seeing Manta Rays
We work closely with the experienced team at Mantaray Island Resort to select dates based on environmental factors that offer the best chance of encountering manta rays in the famous “manta channel.” However, as wild creatures, manta rays follow their own schedule, and sightings can’t be guaranteed.

If they’re not present on the day of your trip, you’ll instead enjoy a guided snorkelling adventure on one of Fiji’s most vibrant reefs—home to colourful starfish, anemones, reef sharks, moray eels, octopus, and butterflyfish—an unforgettable experience in itself.

After your swim, it's time to refuel with a delicious lunch at the laid-back ‘Manta Pizza Shack’, paired with a refreshing soft drink or bottled water. If you’re craving something extra, additional drinks can be purchased from the resort bar. (Vegetarian options are available—just let us know in advance!)
