SALÓ was founded by Ria, a professionally trained chef who became an executive chef at the age of 25. After years in professional kitchens, she stepped away to travel. In Vietnam and Thailand, she joined motorcycle tours that showed her cities through movement rather than sightseeing. Those experiences reshaped how she thought about food, access, and culture.

Coming home to the Philippines, one thing became clear. Motorcycles are how Filipinos move. Food is how culture is shared. Yet there was no experience that combined the two responsibly. SALÓ was created to fill that gap.
