We will pick you up from your guesthouse/ hotel. We will then drive 45 mins to 1 hour depending on the traffic to Makasutu Forest. At the Forest you will get an introduction to the forest by a guide. We will then go on a boat trip around the mangroves where oysters grow. There is an opportunity to go up a tower to see the forest from a height.
We then go on a walk through the forest where we will see monkeys or Baboons. The guide points out different plants and trees and what they are used for. There is a plant doctor who has different plant cures for different illnesses. After the forest walk we will go to see how they farm Palm juice. There is a demonstration of how they climb the palm trees. Also an opportunity to try it for yourself. Lunch will be provided either at the forest or in Brikama. We will then make our way back.
