Perkara yang anda boleh jangka

Your journey begins at 8 a.m. when you'll meet your driver and guide at your hotel in Makassar. From there, you'll embark on a 1.5-hour drive to the Leang Leang Archaeological Park. Upon arrival, enjoy a 15-minute walk through a stunning stone garden. To reach the cave, prepare for a bit of a climb – 64 steps in total! The stone garden has been a site of human exploration for over 45,000 years, with its formation starting 12 million years ago. Over time, the land has slowly lifted at an average rate of 3 cm every thousand years, and the rock formations continue to grow alongside other karst features in the area.

From Leang Leang, the adventure continues as you drive 40 minutes to the Sumpabita Prehistoric Cave. A hike up the hill awaits, with approximately 1,000 steps to reach the cave’s entrance. First discovered in 1902 by Swiss naturalists Paul and Fritz Sarasin, this cave is home to 68 remarkable handprint paintings. In addition to these ancient handprints, you'll also find images of pigs, deer, boats, and even children’s footprints.

After exploring these fascinating remnants of history, we’ll make our way back to the hotel, where the tour will come to a close, allowing you to rest and reflect on the incredible journey through time
