What you can expect

  • The Blue Bay Marine Park, located in the southeast of Mauritius, is the biggest coral garden and marine life reserve on the island. Since 1985, it has been an official nature reserve under state protection to preserve the ecosystem. Additionally, the marine park, with its great diversity of corals and fish, is one of the best spots for snorkeling in Mauritius.

The best way to visit this protected reserve is on an excursion in a glass-bottom boat. This lets you watch the different types of coral and fish from the boat. Sea turtles also live around the marine park and can sometimes be spotted during the excursion.

After a small visit, you will move to the spot for Snorkeling, where you can dive into the clear and shallow water, to enjoy Snorkeling among corals, shoals of fish and sometimes, even with a sea turtle.

At the end of the excursion, you will return to the public beach of Blue Bay.
