    • Rue de la Liberte, La Possession 97419, Réunion | Meet at the "Parking rivère des Galets" in the town of La Possession. To get there from the RN1 (Route des Tamarins), take the Moulin Joli/Rivière des Galets exit. At the roundabout, coming from the south, take the first exit (3rd coming from the north). At the next roundabout, go straight on, and at the next roundabout take the first exit. Continue on Louise Michel street, then Rue de la Liberté until you reach the earth track. Turn left here and continue to the parking lot.

Discover Mafate on a guided 4x4 ride and hike with a professional mountain leader, and enjoy an active adventure complete with breathtaking views. Begin your tour with an exciting 30-minute ride in a 4x4 in the bed of the Rivière des Galets (4WD ticket not included, 26 €/person). Arrive at the trail and start your ascent to the Cayenne Islet. Cross a footbridge and marvel at the stunning panoramic view over a canyon.
Stop for a refreshing break at the next basin below. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by a fantastic natural setting.
The hike lasts for about 5-6 hours and is 7.5 miles long.
In cyclone season, the 4WD track might be closed. In this event, we propose an the alternating hike at Le Maïdo, “Sur les remparts de Mafate”.
This group tour is conducted only in French.
