The tour begins with pickup from your Bangkok city hotel (see details for available pick up areas) for the drive Maeklong Market in Samut Songkhram Province Also known as Talad Rom Hup ('Umbrella Pulldown Market') and 'Risky Market' it is one of the largest fresh seafood markets in Thailand and hugs the track of the Maeklong Railway.

Maeklong Market is a unique, 'must-see attraction' that should be on every visitor's itinerary. It is called 'Risky Market' because there is a train track that runs directly through the middle of the market. Literally within seconds of the train passing through the market vendors have to pull their goods, and themselves, out of the way. The precision timings and movements of everyone involved is fascinating to witness. As the train comes around the bend and directly into the market, vendors rush to pull back their parasols and umbrellas and clear their goods back to within inches of the passing train. And in less than a minute, everything is quickly back out so that they can get back to the job at hand - selling their seafoods, fruits, meat and vegetables to the local shoppers.

Next, head to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, one of the most famous floating markets in Thailand. Reach the market, and take a short ride paddle boat . Enjoy plenty of time to meander around the colorful market, where friendly vendors sell directly from their boats.

Take in the sights and sounds, and try local specialties like mango sticky rice. Your guide will give you advice on what not to miss.

Return to River City Shopping Mall or MRT Subway in Bangkok in the afternoon by 3pm.
