This excursion combines an archaeological tour and a visit to the religious destination of Veria, where St. Paul preached during his 2nd missionary journey. Next, we head to Vergina, the first capital of Ancient Macedonia. With our licensed guide, we visit the New Museum of Aigai, which showcases the history, culture, and daily life of the Macedonians. Highlights include exhibitions on architecture, sculpture, and grave goods such as ancient weapons, pottery, and jewelry. We also explore the Vergina Royal Tombs, a UNESCO site, including the tomb of Philip II, father of Alexander the Great. After the visit, enjoy free time and a lunch break at Vergina Village before returning to your pick-up point.
