The experience begins at Quinta de Recião, in Lamego, with a reception in the vineyard and a brief introduction to the history and winemaking tradition of the region. After the materials are handed out, we dive into a dynamic workshop on winter pruning and grafting, revealing how these practices influence the quality and longevity of the vineyard.
With expert guidance, each participant tries their hand at pruning and performs their own grafting, experiencing firsthand the work of the vineyard. We also explore the management of the vine throughout the year, which is essential to ensure excellent grapes.
At the end of the workshop, the experience culminates with lunch in the vineyard, surrounded by nature and the bards, with wine pairings — a moment of sharing and celebrating the flavors of the Douro.
