Note: A percentage of your tour fee goes directly to the village, helping to support local enterprise, children's education, and for allowing access into the village and property.

1. Be picked up from your accommodation, and drive in air conditioned car to the local village of ThaOuy, about one hour away in the hills outside of Luang Prabang.

2. Spend the morning at a locals farm where they live a subsistance lifestyle of growing rubber, topical fruits in the orchard, raising pigs, chickens, geese, ducks, and boast their own private fishing ponds. Try your hand at net fishing with some local instruction, and maybe catch fish for lunch. Also see traditional Buddhist crafts being made from banana leaf.

3. Enjoy lunch local style, cooked at the farm while relaxing in the shade of a bamboo hut near the fish ponds. Choice of fish, vegetables, and rice for lunch.

4. After lunch, take a short 5 minute walk to the small local hill village, and spend time wandering past traditional houses, Temple and school, whilst learning a miriad of things about local village life. Interact with the welcoming locals who live there and whom your guide knows as family and friends. Part proceeds of your tour booking fee will be directed to this village school.

5. Adjoining the village is forest area that we can take a walk into of optional length of your desire. 30 minutes or an hour, is up to you. The forest is untouched, native with bamboo and large teak, rosewood and mahogany trees, dotted with small sesame, tapioca and rice plantations.

6. End your walk by either returning to the village or continue around, cross a creek and end back at the farm, before making the return trip back to Luang Prabang.
