This is one of Panama's most iconic hiking trails, connecting the Chiriquí highlands through the Volcán Barú National Park.

The Experience
The trail goes through a dense cloud forest where humidity and moss dominate the landscape. Starting from Cerro Punta, the route is mostly downhill, making it less physically demanding than climbing from Boquete. During the journey, you'll cross rustic bridges over the Caldera River and observe centuries-old trees covered with epiphytes.
