We will see the magnificent exterior of Westminster abbey and explore the surrounding areas. Every Royal King and Queen have been crowned there. Royal wedddings and funerals are held there too. Many famous people have been entombed there including Charles Darwin, Sir Isaac Newton and Stephen Hawkins. Many writers, poets, politicians and Royalty are also buried or commemorated there, many of them among the most significant in the nation's history.

We will visit St James's Park to enjoy nature and bird life.This is the most royal of London’s Royal Parks. Shaped by generations of monarchs and bordered by three royal palaces, St. James’s Park is the home of ceremonial events in the capital. It is also the prettiest park full of spectacular trees, blooms and colouful waterbirds.

Southwark Cathedral

Southwark Cathedral is a stunning, hidden gem just off Borough Market and close to London Bridge tube station. It is the oldest church building in London. There has been a church on the grounds since 606 AD and it was also the site of Roman pagan worship. Shakespeare himself was a resident of the parish, and there is a memorial there for him. It's pretty certain that he attended services at the church given that his brother Edmund is buried within the church grounds (although quite where has been lost to the mists of time) We will then take a stroll to our next destination.
