Get to know HUERTO RIBERA, a typical Valencian orange tree farm from 1870 and enjoy a magnificent day surrounded by nature in Carcaixent, the birthplace of the orange, just 40 km from Valencia. We will walk among gardens and orange groves learning about citrus cultivation, its history, learning about various varieties of citrus trees, pruning, grafting, flowering, irrigation well, etc. We will collect and taste different citrus fruits, we will enter our warehouse to calibrate and select oranges, making the boxes that we will later send to homes throughout Europe. You will learn first-hand about the current situation of Valencian citrus farming in an unbeatable environment. At the end of the visit you will be able to taste typical Valencian products from km 0 (orange sweets, Valencian liqueurs, homemade jams, orange blossom honey...) You can arrive by train from Valencia and then we can organize a taxi for the group, but please let us know to book the taxi with the group.
