This art class is a time to explore and come into contact with different materials and let your creativity flow. No previous knowledge of painting is required and it is suitable for beginners or more experienced artists.

The class takes place in an art gallery where Cristina's studio is also located. Here, you can also see the work of other artists who are exhibiting in the gallery.

What will we do?

In the first hour, we'll explain the essential basics that the guest needs to know in order to build a strong aesthetic look: color theory, value, composition and layers. We'll do some exercises to relax and prepare for the final work.

We will then work on Fabriano paper or 30x40cm stretched canvas. I'll show you how to mix paints and choose a color palette. We'll paint with brushes, colored pencils and use materials that allow us to test different textures.

Cristina will accompany us through all the stages of the painting.

At the end of the class, the guest will take away their finished and signed canvas as a souvenir of this experience along with the certificate of authenticity of their work issued by the Gallery.

Why is this activity special?

The fact that we offer this experience in an art gallery environment and at the same time in an artist's studio, allows those who are curious about this subject to understand the dynamics of a studio and the presentation of final works for sale in a gallery. Cristina is an architect, and although her artistic work covers various themes, drawing and paintings of Lisbon are one of her focuses, and she has also exhibited work in other galleries.

This is an event that can be organized for individuals or a group of people and that can be customized for you. For example, a celebration of a special day, or simply a time for friends to get together. If you're a wine lover, you can buy bottles of regional wine on site and enjoy a glass of Portuguese wine during the class.

At the end of the class, you'll take your artwork with you.
