Drive through the lush citrus grove of Fasouri and embark on a fascinating adventure towards the medieval keep of Kolossi, a superb example of military architecture erected in the 13th century. Originally the seat of the Knights Templar Commandery, then the headquarters of the Hospitallers after the fall of Saint-Jean d'Acre in 1292, the keep reveals centuries of epic stories.
In Limassol, visit the medieval fortress, built in the 13th century by the Lusignans on the ruins of a Byzantine fortress, where the marriage of Richard the Lionheart and Berengaria of Navarre took place in 1191. Today it houses the Medieval Museum of Cyprus. The tour continues around the area, through an area made up of interesting restored warehouses converted into restaurants and exhibition halls, and leads to the old port of Limassol.
