Departing from our “JANKURA BEACH CLUB” beach in Letojanni, the tour will follow the beautiful, expansive beaches of Letojanni and Taormina until it reaches “SPISONE” and the first bay, known as “BAIA DELLE SIRENE” or “BAIA DI SAN NICOLA,” which is characterized by waters teeming with Posidonia. Here, we will point out an ancient bay used by fishermen, known in the local dialect as “U PUTTICHIU,” and immediately afterward, next to it, we will show you a natural rock formation that, over time, due to erosion by the sea waves, has taken on the delightful shape of an elephant, aptly named “SCOGLIO DELL'ELEFANTE” (Elephant Rock).
The tour will then continue towards “BAIA DI MAZZARO,” a highly sought-after destination for luxury tourism, as the gulf is home to numerous prominent 5-star hotels, including the renovated Hotel Villa S. Andrea in Taormina, which is among the most historic.
Immediately afterward, the boat will continue southward towards the “BLUE GROTTO” and “ISOLA BELLA,” located within the stunning Taormina Nature Reserve, known for its crystal-clear waters and natural pools teeming with a wide variety of marine life. Here, you will have the opportunity to swim and snorkel. Along the way, you will visit the “GROTTA DEL CORALLO” (Coral Cave), where you can enjoy the sight of red coral.
Immediately after stopping in the nature reserve and visiting the interior of the Blue Grotto, the boat will continue towards “CAPO TAORMINA,” with the “FARAGLIONI” sea stacks and the “SCOGLIO DEL FICO D'INDIA” rock formation providing the backdrop.
After passing the headland, specifically the “SCOGLIO CON LA CROCE” (Rock with the Cross), a highly significant symbol for the area's longstanding fishermen, you will be greeted by the breathtaking view of Mount Etna, which towers majestically over the vast and beautiful Bay of Giardini Naxos, the first Greek colony in Sicily. As we cross the Bay of Villagonia, we will visit the Grotta del Sole (Sun Cave), also known as the Grotta dell'Amore (Love Cave). Here, the crew will share interesting stories and fun facts about the cave's name.
After sailing along part of the bay and passing the historic “GIARDINI-TAORMINA RAILWAY STATION,” the boat will make a stop where you can go for a swim and enjoy snorkeling.
Here, our staff will set up a small aperitif buffet for our guests on board, featuring typical Sicilian products, fresh fruit, Prosecco, and a variety of beverages.
Finally, we will return to the meeting point, where the beach staff and the crew will assist you with disembarking.
Your entire adventure will take approximately 3 hours.
