The tour departing from our “JANKURA BEACH CLUB” beach in Letojanni will run along the beautiful, large beaches of Letojanni and Taormina until reaching “SPISONE” and the first bay called “BAIA DELLE SIRENE or BAIA DI SAN NICOLA”, which features waters full of Posidonia. Here you will be shown an ancient bay used by fishermen, called “U PUTTICHIU” in the local dialect, and immediately after, next to it, you will be shown a natural rock that over time, due to erosion by the sea waves, has taken on the cute shape of an elephant, and is therefore called “SCOGLIO DELL'ELEFANTE” (Elephant Rock).
The tour will continue towards the “BAIA DI MAZZARO”, a location that is very popular with luxury tourism as there are many important 5-star hotels in the gulf, among the most historic of which is the renovated Hotel Villa S.Andrea in Taormina.
Immediately afterwards, the boat will continue south towards the “GROTTA AZZURRA and ISOLA BELLA”, located within the beautiful Taormina nature reserve with its clear, crystal-clear waters and its natural pools featuring a great variety of marine life. Here you will be able to swim and go snorkeling. Along the way, you will visit the “GROTTA DEL CORALLO” where you can enjoy the view of the red coral.
Immediately after stopping in the reserve and visiting the inside of the Blue Grotto, the journey will continue towards “CAPO TAORMINA” with the “FARAGLIONI” and the “SCOGLIO DEL FICO D'INDIA” as a backdrop.
After passing the promontory, specifically the “SCOGLIO CON LA CROCE” (Rock with the Cross), a very important symbol for the old local fishermen, you will find yourself facing the evocative view of “MOUNT ETNA”, which will dominate the large and beautiful “BAY OF GIARDINI NAXOS”, the first Greek colony in Sicily. Crossing the bay of “VILLAGONIA”, you will visit the “GROTTA DEL SOLE”, also known as the “GROTTA DELL'AMORE”. Here, the crew will tell you anecdotes and fun facts about its name.
After sailing along part of the bay and seeing the old “GIARDINI-TAORMINA RAILWAY STATION”, the boat will stop for a break, where you can swim and go snorkeling.
Here our staff will set up a small aperitif buffet for our guests on board, with typical Sicilian products, fresh fruit, prosecco, and various types of drinks.
Finally, we will return to the meeting point where the beach staff and the crew will help you with the disembarkation process.
The total duration of the experience will be approximately 3 hours.
