Begin at the top of Leith Walk, where Edinburgh meets Leith, and make your way down one of the city’s most vibrant streets. Along the walk, you’ll pass local cafés, bars, and restaurants while getting a feel for the area and hearing some of its history.
Stop 1: Newbarns Brewery – a back-to-basics brewery focused on traditional, German-inspired styles and classic brewing techniques.
Stop 2: Campervan Brewery – a laid-back taproom with a surf vibe, known for high-quality beers brewed with West Coast American hops.
Continue down to the Shore, stopping by a filming location from Trainspotting, the classic Leith-based film that captures the area’s grittier past. From there, you’ll learn about Leith’s history as one of Scotland’s most important ports.
Stop 3: Moonwake Beer Co. – a modern, community-driven brewery showcasing beers made with New Zealand hops.
Finish near the Scottish National War Memorial, wrapping up with stories of Leith’s maritime and industrial heritage.
