Discover the true flavor of Apulian extra virgin olive oil in a one-hour guided food tasting in the heart of Lecce, in the Porta Napoli area.

A simple, engaging and professional sensory experience, designed for those who want to learn how to recognize the quality of an extra virgin olive oil, even without any previous experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will be guided step by step in observing, smelling and tasting three different types of extra virgin olive oil, learning to recognize their characteristics, aromas and nuances of quality. The sensory analysis is paired with a local gastronomic route:

• Seasonal vegetables (e.g. fava bean purée or local vegetables, depending on the season)
• Freshly made homemade bread, served with unheated extra virgin olive oil
• Artisan olives in the Apulian tradition

The activity is led by an Expert Technician registered in the National Register of Technicians and Experts in Virgin and Extra Virgin Olive Oils of the Apulia Region. A unique opportunity to gain skills and learn how to evaluate the product through your senses.
