The Ride starts In Lecce old town. Me (local Guide) i will provide you a top quality E-bike, helmet, Bike panniers bag, phone holder and a bottle of water.

We Explore the country side of Lecce, with the olive grooves and Masserias in a eco-friendly and healthy way by riding a top-quality E-bike.

Visit 2 of the 9 small villages part of the “Salentine Greek” an area inhabited by the Griko people, an ethnic Greek minority that still speaks ancient Greek.

At the first Stop in Sternatia we will Meet Gaetano “the Griko Poet”. With Gaetano we have the authentic experience of a guided tour in an underground ancient Olive oil Mill. You will learn about the Lamp oil production and trade that shaped the history of Salento for more than 500 years.

In Galatina, Second stop we will visit one of the most beautiful Basilicas of Puglia, the Basilica di Santa Caterina d'Alessandria. The frescoes from the Giotto's school are just astonishing.

In Galatina we stop at Pasticceria Ascalone where you can try the famous Pasticciotto in the place that was first made in 1740.

Here we take a Coffee stop were you can try the Rustico Leccese and Caffe Leccese (Espresso shot, ice cubes and almond syrup).

After the coffee brake in Galatina we will take a private taxi back to Lecce (25 minutes ride). You will be back in Lecce around 1 Pm.

Total E-Ride is 27 kms. All flat easy level. Half day tour.

NB - Possibility to include wine tasting of Primitivo Wine in Galatina (NOT INCLUDED and ONLY IF IS A PRIVATE GROUP AND REQUESTED ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE). OR a traditional Puglian lunch (recommended option).
