What you can expect

A wonderful trip through the Cupa Valley, a fascinating area that includes several villages west of the capital of Salento. This historically rich region was chosen by the nobility of Lecce as a place of residence or vacation, thanks to its unique charm. The countryside, with its farms and noble villas surrounded by greenery, has preserved its charm for centuries. Visiting this area reveals an immense wealth of landscapes.
Among other things, you will enjoy a culinary experience featuring typical, zero-mile produce at a historic estate in the village of Squinzano.
Our tour will then take you to another jewel of the Valle della Cupa: the Abbey of Santa Maria di Cerrate, one of the most splendid examples of the Otranto Romanesque style, and a FAI heritage site for several years. A visit to the interior will be included.
After the unmissable visit to the abbey, you can resume your journey through the Salento countryside until you return to Lecce.
