Begin your journey by flying to Lanzhou, the only city in China through which the Yellow River flows, and check into your 5-star hotel.

On the second day, travel from Lanzhou to Bingling Temple Grottoes, a 5A scenic spot and one of the three major grottoes in Gansu. Later, visit 13 Alleys, known as the “Exhibition Park of Ethnic Architecture in Northwest China”, before staying overnight in Linxia.

On the third day, head to Xiahe to visit Labrang Monastery, a world center for Tibetan studies with the longest prayer corridor. Then, enjoy the vast scenery of Sangke Grassland, a treasure of Gannan with strong Amdo Tibetan culture.

On the fourth day, explore Tongren (Regong), the world capital of Thangka art. Visit Rongwu Monastery, one of the three major Gelug Sect monasteries in Amdo, and Wutun Monastery, a “living fossil of Tibetan Buddhist art”.

On the final day, visit Xiaqiong Monastery, the birthplace of the Gelug Sect and one of the four famous monasteries in Qinghai, with a panoramic view of the Yellow River. The tour ends with a transfer to Xining.
