Most people who try wingfoiling for the first time spend the
majority of their session waiting for wind, walking back upwind,
or struggling to generate enough speed to get on the foil. Our
lessons work differently.
Based in Playa Blanca on the sheltered south coast of Lanzarote,
we use a boat to tow students up to foiling speed from the very
first session. This means you spend your time actually foiling —
not waiting. Most students experience their first real foil lift
within the first hour.
What to expect in your 2-hour intro session:
- Shore briefing covering safety, equipment, and technique
- Water time with boat assistance to generate foiling speed
- Hands-on coaching from IKO-certified instructors
- Progression at your own pace in flat, sheltered water
The south coast of Lanzarote is the ideal place to learn. Flat
water, shelter from the north-east trade winds, and year-round
conditions make Playa Blanca significantly easier for beginners
than exposed spots like Famara. You focus on the foil — not
fighting the conditions.
All equipment is included: wing, board, hydrofoil, wetsuit or
helmet, and impact vest. Small groups of maximum 4
students per instructor ensure you get genuine coaching time,
not just supervision.
