C'est Cheese
  • 30m
  • Admission ticket included
Since opening in 2013, C’est Cheese Artisan Cheese and Deli has always had one aim – to showcase the amazing range of product hand made by New Zealand’s specialist cheesemakers. Housed in the historic Anderson Building (1875), the business has steadily grown to incorporate the cheese and deli section and our very own creamery, making cheese under our brand, Remutaka Pass Creamery. The goal is to offer a complete cheese experience – watch it being made and purchase cheese from our award winning deli. While we naturally celebrate all things cheesy, we are equally passionate about New Zealand’s artisan food producers, be they from the fabulous Wairarapa or beyond. Our deli strives to stock quality local product, supporting small producers wherever possible.

Greytown’s shops make it a wonderful spot for a gentle day of shopping. We boast more than 60 independent shops, cafes and restaurants on our lovely, wide Main Street brimming with preserved Victorian architecture. Perusing Greytown’s shops is a pleasant adventure at any time of year. In the warm months, you’ll enjoy our excellent footpaths and loads of lovely trees. And the prevalence of bullnose canopies on our buildings means it’s a fun destination rain or shine — as you can move quickly from cover to cover.

Chocolate tasting In December 2002 Schoc Chocolates was born. In a tiny turn-of-the century cottage, in gourmet Greytown’s main street (the original confectioners shop), owner and creator Murray Langham of the Chocolate Therapy books opened the doors to the sumptuous hand-made chocolates and small Chocolate Therapy studio. Schoc Chocolates is a unique blend of gourmet chocolate and self-exploration. We combine the joy and health benefits of consuming quality chocolate with a deeper understanding of one’s inner self. With 60 flavours in the tablet range alone - there is a chocolate that is perfect for you. From classic strawberry or heavenly caramel to the more challenging - and hugely popular - whole lime and chilli, sea salt, pink peppercorn, to name a few. Click here to see the extensive list of tablets, packaged in their distinctive branded pouches.
