What you can expect

We'll start the tour at the iconic Witches' Market in the heart of La Paz. There, customers will be able to stroll among colorful souvenir stalls, take photographs, and learn about the ancestral traditions of Andean culture.

We'll also visit the shop of a renowned 'chiflera', a wise Andean woman specialized in rituals, who will prepare a 'mesa' for us — a traditional offering used in ceremonies of thanksgiving to Pachamama, which means Mother Earth.

After the walk, we'll go to our house for an authentic 'Apthapi' dinner: a typical communal meal from the Andes. This feast includes a variety of native potatoes, chuño, charque (dried meat), corn, cheese, and hot sauce.

After dinner, we'll meet in the courtyard to prepare the 'mesa' with all the necessary ritual elements (coca leaves, cinnamon, honey, etc.). Then, we'll place the 'mesa' on the firewood previously arranged to make the offering to the Pachamama and set it on fire.

In an intimate and respectful atmosphere, next to the warmth of the campfire, we will drink 'té con té', a local hot drink ideal for the cold nights of La Paz. By the fire, we'll give thanks for all that we have and also ask for blessings and good fortune for each of the participants in the ritual until the fire turns the offering to ashes.

We will finish with a special incense for the occasion, and after the ritual is over, guests will return to their respective hotels.
