Pumapunku o Puma Punku ( en aymara y quechua , "Puerta del Puma") es un montículo artificial con terrazas en forma de T, estratégicamente alineado, del siglo VI, con un patio hundido y una estructura monumental en la cima, cerca de Tiwanaku, La Paz , Bolivia. Forma parte del complejo Pumapunku, en el sitio arqueológico de Tiwanaku , un antiguo complejo arqueológico en los Andes del oeste de Bolivia, declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Pumapunku or Puma Punku (Aymara and Quechua, "Gate of the Puma") is a 6th-century, strategically aligned, T-shaped terraced artificial mound with a sunken courtyard and monumental structure on top, near Tiwanaku, La Paz, Bolivia. It is part of the Pumapunku complex, at the Tiwanaku archaeological site, an ancient archaeological complex in the Andes of western Bolivia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

El Kalasasaya, que en aymara significa "piedras paradas", es uno de los principales templos del complejo arqueológico de Tiwanaku, Bolivia, construido alrededor del año 500 d.C. Sus características principales incluyen una estructura rectangular con muros de piedra y columnas de arenisca, un patio central hundido y una alineación con los puntos cardinales, sirviendo como un importante centro ceremonial y observatorio astronómico. The Kalasasaya, which means "standing stones" in Aymara, is one of the main temples of the Tiwanaku archaeological complex in Bolivia, built around 500 AD. Its main features include a rectangular structure with stone walls and sandstone columns, a sunken central courtyard, and alignment with the cardinal points, serving as an important ceremonial center and astronomical observatory.
Tiawanaku - Cidade Sagrada

The Semi-Subterranean Temple is located in the eastern sector of the Kalasasaya Temple. The walls were made of finely finished red sandstone ashlars alternating with large vertical pillars. Some of the pillars still display anthropomorphic details in low relief (such as a foot). 175 anthropomorphic club heads carved from sandstone, ignimbrite, and limestone are embedded in its walls and along the perimeter. This is the site of origin of the Bennett or Pachamama Monolith and the Khontiki.
