What you can expect
Explore the beautiful nature, history, and culture of La Paz on this exciting multi-day tour of some of the most famous and impressive places in the area. Cycle down the Death Road, visit the Uyuni Salt Flats, and see the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve.
Day 1: Start the day with a mountain biking adventure. After preparing your full-suspension bike and cycling gear, set off. Gain confidence and get to know your bike on a 22-kilometer descent on an asphalt road.
At the police checkpoint, pay the entrance fee and continue to the Death Road. Cycle as a group and stop for a snack. Continue to a beautiful waterfall and cycle 32 kilometers to Yolosa. Relax at a hotel with showers, a pool, and lunch. Return to La Paz at 4:00 PM.
Day 2: Arrive in Uyuni at 7:30 AM. Enjoy free time to explore the city. Then, start the tour at 10:30 AM. Visit the Train Cemetery, Colchani, and see crafts made from salt and textiles made from llama and alpaca fiber.
See the Salty Eyes, a hotel museum made entirely of salt, the World Flags, the Dakar Monument, and the Incahuasi Island. Take fun photos with the backdrop of the striking white surface of the salt flats.
Head to a wide area at the end of the day to experience the unique beauty of a sunset that extends its dazzling colors across the entire salt flat. Finally, arrive in the village of Ajencha for dinner and spend the night at the hostel.
Day 3: Start the day with a hearty breakfast and visit Ollagüe, the rocky trail “El Pasito Tuntun”, the famous Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarcota lagoons, where you can see flamingos.
Finally, head to the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve, where you can see the Siloli Desert, the Rock Tree, and the immense Red Lagoon to see more pink flamingos in their natural habitat. Spend the night at a hostel.
Day 4: Leave early, around 5:00 AM, to visit the Sol de Mañana Geyser, bathe in the Polques Hot Springs, the Dali Desert, the Green Lagoon, and the White Lagoon at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano.
Return to the border between Bolivia and Chile (Hito Cajón) at 10:30 AM, and finally arrive in San Pedro de Atacama at 2:00 PM.
