This area, one of the first to be developed thanks to its fertile lands, sailing opportunities, and springs, played a key role in the island's early history. However, with the diversion of water to the valley and the construction of aqueducts to supply regions with a more favorable climate, Garafía began a gradual process of depopulation, becoming a haven for wildlife and tranquility.
On our route, we will not only explore breathtaking, little-traveled landscapes but also immerse ourselves in the essence of life on La Palma in the olden days. We will feel the connection with the elements, the toil of those who inhabited these lands, and the vastness of a landscape where time seems to have stood still.
