    Pico Horcones, or Mesa de Morteros, is a summit within the La Huasteca Natural Park. The route begins at the foot of the main road, going up a ravine between two large stone walls and then passing through a valley of sub-desert scrub with incredible views. It ends with a short climb to reach the summit and admire the incredible landscape that the Sierra Madre offers us. It is physically and mentally challenging due to its incline and duration.
