What you can expect

  • On this tour, you will get a taste of nomadic life and explore the 16th largest desert in the world—Kyzylkum—with a yurt camp stay.
In the morning, our driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Nurata city (230 km). The historical small town of Nurata is located in the foothills of the Nuratau Mountains, which stretch for hundreds of kilometers from Jizzakh and the Barren Steppe to Navoi and the Kyzylkum Desert.
According to legend, the origin of the city and its name came from the fortress of Nur, which was founded by Alexander the Great in the 4th century BC.
After visiting the historical complex “Chashma,” our driver will take you to a local house to have lunch. Later, the driver will transfer you to the yurt camp (75 km). Arrive at the yurt and check in. Take a rest. In the evening, before sunset, drive to Aydarkul Lake—the real miracle of nature in the middle of the desert. Enjoy walking and swimming in Aydarkul Lake. Later, drive back to the yurt camp. Before dinner, you can experience camel riding. Then dinner will be served. Before going to bed, you will have a chance to enjoy folklore songs from a Kazakh folklore singer.
Stay overnight in the yurt camp.
The next day, after breakfast, drive to Samarkand city (270 km).
    The tour ends.
