The Imperial Palace in Kyoto was the residence of emperors until 1868. We start the day by visiting it by immersing ourselves in centuries of imperial history.

Then head to Nijo Castle! We have here the symbol of the reign of the samurai and the Tokugawa clan from the 17th to the 19th century. Its “nightingale floor” and beautiful gardens are there to delight you.
