The most intimate sumo experience in Kyoto. Former top division wrestlers are ready to amuse and amaze you. Our interactive sumo experience is fun for all the family.

We are excited to announce the launch of our new Breakfast Plan, available from 7:00 AM! To celebrate, we are offering a 10% to 20% discount on all items. Please note that the breakfast plan does not include the sumo show or the meet-and-greet with the wrestlers.

At Sumo An Kyoto, you’ll sit close enough to feel the power and intensity of real sumo wrestlers. This is an intimate, up close experience that other venues just can’t match. You’ll be right there, immersed in every moment.

During our interactive show, you can take part in the traditional ring-purifying ceremony called Shiomaki (salt throwing). And best of all — all the guests who want to challenge our wrestlers can get to step into the ring themselves for a fun, safe challenge against a professional wrestler!

While enjoying all the action, you’ll also enjoy authentic chankonabe — sumo wrestlers’ famous power meal — served hot at your table. (Only Japanese à la carte menu is available at 9:30 PM show)

We also offer a carefully selected range of unique Japanese alcoholic beverages and exclusive Sumo An Kyoto souvenirs.
