Day 1: Bako National Park Wildlife & Permai Rainforest (L)
You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Bako Jetty (40 minutes). From there, take a scenic boat ride to Bako National Park Headquarters, passing dramatic coastal rock formations along the way.
Explore Bako’s diverse ecosystem, home to proboscis monkeys, long-tailed macaques, silver leaf monkeys, and other wildlife such as bearded wild boar, flying squirrels, flying lemurs, otters, tarsiers, slow lorises, and numerous bird species. With an experienced guide, you may also spot the green pit viper. Enjoy the unique blend of rainforest, mangroves, and coastal scenery.
After the hike, return by boat to the jetty and transfer to Permai Rainforest Resort. Check in to your treehouse or jungle villa and spend the evening at leisure. Dinner is available at Tree Café (6:00–8:30 PM). An optional night walk is available at additional cost with advance arrangement.
Note: Last boat from Bako NP departs at 3:00 PM; arrival at Permai around 4:00 PM.
Day 2: Annah Rais Longhouse & Bengoh Valley (B/L/D)
Breakfast is served at 7:00 AM. Enjoy free time to explore rainforest trails or visit a nearby waterfall before checking out at 10:00 AM.
Transfer to Annah Rais Longhouse (approx. 2 hours). Upon arrival, enjoy lunch featuring traditional ethnic cuisine, followed by a guided walk around the longhouse and village. Experience the longhouse culture and visit their Skull House, often described as the trophy showcase!
After the longhouse expedition, head to Bengoh jetty with a 20 minutes journey. Your boat will be waiting there to receive you and bring for the next adventure. Enjoy the 20-minute boat ride and a short uphill walk to your mountain homestay. Check in by 4:00 PM. Enjoy sunset views from the tanju (veranda) at 6:00 PM, followed by dinner at 7:30 PM and a peaceful night in the highlands.
Day 3: Waterfalls & the “Jurassic of Sarawak” (B/L)
Wake early to enjoy sunrise views, followed by breakfast. Check out and descend the mountain, then take a short boat ride to the trailhead.
With our local guide, hike to scenic waterfalls and explore the ancient-looking rainforest landscapes known as the “Jurassic of Sarawak.” After the hike, enjoy lunch before a final boat ride back to the jetty. Transfer to Kuching, arriving in the afternoon.
