What you can expect

  • Meet at 8.30am Bigfin meeting point (Google Maps), Dragon Bay Beach, Kota Belud. We recommend departing from Kota Kinabalu at 6.45am, (Tuaran/Karambunai Resorts at 7.30am).
    On arrival, take a short scenic boat ride to Bigfin Beach resort, size up your equipment then head to the tiny uninhabited Pandan Island to discover the marine life of Borneo.

    Spend 1 hour either snorkeling or scuba diving for the first time with our qualified PADI dive instructors. Head to beautiful Bigfin Beach and have fun kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding in the bay. At midday, enjoy a delicious lunch at Bigfin Beach resort.

    In the afternoon, soak up some sun on the secluded beach, take a nap in a hammock and enjoy the stunning natural surroundings. If desired, you are welcome to continue kayaking or paddleboarding at your leisure.

    Finally, when you are ready, return to the boat and head back to Dragon Beach, Mengkabar, Kota Belud, where you can arrange onward transport back to your hotel.

    Important note: Transfers to/from Kota Kinabalu not included.
    We recommend guests self drive, private taxi or GRAB (taxi e-hailing app).
