With a four-hour tour, you will be able to see a snapshot of Kefalonia, visit several famous points of interest, and discover some of the island’s charm. The itinerary we suggest is described below, however, with all private tours, the itineraries are completely flexible as we will tailor-make the day to suit you. We can start and finish the tour from any destination on the island.
After we collect you, you begin the tour with a visit to the Drogarati Caves, which are a vast underground cave formation with many stalagmites and stalactites that have developed over thousands of years. From there we will journey on to the Melissani Lake. Perhaps the most visited sight of Kefalonia the Melissani Lake is under the ground but has a huge opening to the outside world directly above the water, allowing the sunlight to turn the water the most incredible shade of blue. You will be taken around the lake on a small boat by one of the locals of the area who will explain to you the history as they row you around this magnificent sight.
From there you will stop above the famous Myrtos Beach, to take as many photographs as you would like and to see the spectacular scenery of the beach from the best viewpoint possible. We will then drive you back to the port at the end of the tour, with memories to last a lifetime, wonderful photographs, and the desire to explore more of what this incredible island has to offer.
