Discover the beauty of Kazbegi on a scenic horseback ride to one of Georgia’s most famous landmarks.

Meet your local guide and horses in Stepantsminda. After a short introduction and practical riding instructions, you will be provided with a safety helmet before beginning the ride. Then, begin the ascent along a natural mountain trail toward Gergeti Trinity Church, located high above the town.

Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of Mount Kazbek, the surrounding Caucasus peaks, and the valley below. Upon reaching the church, take time to enjoy the scenery and capture photos before beginning the return ride.

Return to Stepantsminda via a different route, descending along the scenic mountain road. The contrasting routes offer two different perspectives of Kazbegi.

The horses are calm and familiar with the mountain terrain. No previous riding experience is required, but participants should be comfortable with heights, uneven ground, and steep mountain paths. The ascent includes steep and narrow sections, while the return route involves a sustained downhill ride.

The full experience lasts approximately 2.5 hours, including around 2 hours of horseback riding and time at Gergeti Trinity Church. Exact riding time may vary slightly depending on the group’s pace and trail conditions.
