Start at one of the main piers in Puerto Ayora. After looking at the bay and its ships, begin paddling toward the cliffs of Academy Bay. Along the way, look for native birds such as blue-footed boobies, frigatebirds, lava herons, and others.

Continue to the second bay, where the water is calm and marine turtles are easier to spot. Paddle along the shoreline while looking for lava herons and Sally Lightfoot crabs among the mangrove branches. Then reach the sunken ship before continuing to Love Channel, a place associated with many ancient local stories. Finish the experience with a refreshing snorkeling session.
