For more than 9 years, we have guided travelers through the waters of Mismaloya to discover one of the ocean’s most fascinating natural phenomena: bioluminescence. This phenomenon can be seen year-round. Depending on the season and moon phase, we will recommend experiencing it before sunrise or after sunset, when conditions are best. We’ll paddle from our beach club in Mismaloya toward Los Arcos Marine National Park, one of Puerto Vallarta’s most iconic natural landmarks. As darkness covers the ocean, the magic begins: every paddle stroke and movement in the water can create tiny flashes of light. With no engines or noise—just paddles, the ocean, and the night—you’ll discover Los Arcos from a completely different perspective. When we return, seasonal fruit, cookies, marshmallows, and hot chocolate will be waiting for you by our beachfront bonfire.
