Begin in lively Thamel, the city’s buzzing hub, and relax as your rickshaw glides through colorful backstreets lined with shops selling pastries, pashminas, and more. Hop off to visit a serene Buddhist shrine tucked away in an alley before continuing toward Durbar Square. Along the way, pass Asan Market, the city’s oldest square, alive with spices, vegetables, and local chatter. At Durbar Square, soak up the magic of ancient temples and palaces as locals sip chai and pigeons flutter overhead. After this enchanting pause, climb back onto your “street helicopter” for the ride back to Thamel.
