Next, visit a Limestone cave called Phnom Kbal Romeas “Rhinoceros Head Hill” in Khmer which was inhabited during the Neolithic times (5000-3000BC). The brick fragments indicate that the temple was built in the cave and it is believed to be an important place of spirit worship, which continues to this day. There are several cave that can be accessed with assistance from local guides, and continue to a large reservoir known as “Secret Lake,” built during the Khmer Rouge regime to support rice irrigation.
